Hogarth at Home: Let’s Learn “Don’t Touch Your Face”

NOTE: Hogarth posts and videos are usually private and meant for the personal use of my preschool students and their families. During these uncertain times I’ll share some of them publicly for the personal use of people beyond the Hogarth community in the hope that it will help them keep their little ones healthy. So stay home if you can, wash your hands, and don’t touch your face.  Andrea

Welcome Spring! If we were still in school we’d mark the change in seasons singing our winter garden song and learning our spring garden song. You can do this at home. I posted a new page on the Hogarth at Home curriculum. Head over to Sing Along With Miss Murphy to find videos with lyrics of a few of our songs. I’ll post more songs as the weeks roll by. Singing is a wonderful way to keep your spirits high. If you want to tweet little videos of your child singing at home have at it. I know all the Little Friends would love to see each other over @HogarthKids on Twitter.

I’ve been working on a song for the children to learn at home. I wrote it especially for the Hogarth at Home curriculum and it’s called Don’t Touch Your Face. (I bet you can figure out what inspired this song.)

I made a video lesson of me teaching the song that your little one can view. I was the videographer, film editor, and star of the screen. It’s my first amateurish attempt but I think it will do. Have fun with it!
