This past Wednesday, while having my teeth cleaned by Vanessa at Dr. Ver Ploeg’s, I heard something that came as quite a surprise.
“I voted for you online,” said Vanessa.
“Thank you!” I said. “What am I running for?”
“You don’t know?” Vanessa asked.
“Nope,” I said. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Hogarth is nominated for Best Nursery School in the Portsmouth Herald Readers’ Choice Awards!” said Vanessa.
Oh, my gosh! How had I not heard about this? I thanked Vanessa for letting me know, and when I got home went straight for Google. Sure enough, there it was. Hogarth was counted among the few preschools receiving a nomination for Best Nursery School in Portsmouth Herald’s 2014 Readers’ Choice Awards. What an honor!
I had only a few short hours to spread the good word, though. Voting closed at midnight that same night. I know I don’t need an award to validate all the good work we do year after year at Hogarth, but I have to admit that being recognized with a nomination is very, very nice.
Thank you all for your support!
